About Us

The NYS Equal Rights Heritage Center welcomes visitors and promotes tourism for Auburn's Historic and Cultural Sites Commission. Explore where iconic American heroes Harriet Tubman and William H. Seward lived. See outstanding examples of Tiffany glass at the Willard Memorial Chapel. Discover the birthplace of talking films at the Cayuga Museum of History & Art and Case Research Lab. Take in arts and culture at the Schweinfurth Memorial Art Center, Auburn Public Theater, and Seymour Library. Start your Auburn experience at the NYS Equal Rights Heritage Center/Auburn NY Visitor Center, where you can shop the Taste NY Market, relax in the courtyard carefully watched over by a bronze Harriet Tubman statue, find all traveler resources and current city-wide events, and learn about the area's rich history through interactive and educational displays. Visitors will not be short of things to see and do within a two-mile radius of downtown Auburn.
